Columbus Small Animal Hospital is First in the Nation to Install New X-ray Imaging System

 In Clinic News

The Columbus Small Animal Hospital will be the first in the nation to install a next-generation Rayence DR digital X-ray imaging system.

“The image quality from this new system is truly remarkable, and we are very excited to offer this incredible diagnostic capability,” said James W. Kramer, DVM, CVPM, owner of the Columbus Small Animal Hospital.

The wireless system makes use of an adjustable table that lowers to the ground, making it easier and safer to accommodate pets. The system will improve diagnostic capability and thus outcomes for animals treated at Columbus Small Animal Hospital.

The system also offers a separate lightweight, powerful battery operated, hand-held, portable X-ray system that produces superior image quality. It is designed for simplicity and ease of use, and it is ideal for small animals.

The table system is revolutionary. It delivers silent elevation for comfort and stability. Because it lowers to the ground, animals that should not be lifted or moved much can be positioned for X-ray imaging with ease and maximum comfort.

Dr. Kramer expects to have the new system operational in November 2016.
